Abstract

This article offers an in-depth analysis of the role of metaphor and the stylistic strategies employed in the translation of poems by the prominent Uzbek poetess Zulfiya. Metaphor is examined as a fundamental device of poetic imagery through which the poet’s emotional experiences, worldview, and aesthetic principles are articulated. Consequently, the accurate, context-sensitive, and stylistically appropriate rendering of metaphorical expressions is essential for preserving the original poetic spirit, national cultural specificity, and artistic value of the source text.
