Аннотация

The article examines the mythopoetic foundations of proper names in Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and the challenges of their translation into Russian. Using an associative experiment with Russian and English-speaking students, the study reveals cultural stereotypes and mythological representations shaping name perception, and highlights the importance of etymology and associative semantics for literary onomastics and character construction.
