Existentialism (Latin - living, existence), philosophy of existence - a stream in philosophy. It appeared in Russia at the beginning of the 20th century, in Germany after the First World War, in France during the Second World War, and in other countries after the war. The article discusses the influence of this philosophical direction on the work of the famous writer Jorge Luis Borges.
