This article presents a comparative analysis of the semantic structuring of lexical units that express emotional states, based on English WordNet and its Uzbek counterpart, Uzbek WordNet. The study explores the distribution of emotionally charged lexical units within synsets, their semantic relationships, the integration of phraseological expressions into the network, and the structural features of semantic representation. The results show that the English WordNet model is characterized by a well-developed hierarchy and a rich lexical database, whereas Uzbek WordNet remains under development in this area. The article highlights the necessity of incorporating Uzbek phraseological units into the semantic network and offers practical and theoretical recommendations for enhancing the system
