Аннотация

The article examines the scholarly and cultural significance of Jumaniyaz Sharipov’s book “From the History of Translation in Uzbekistan” (1965), which became the first systematic study of the history of translation activity on Uzbek soil. The author emphasizes the monograph’s role in shaping the foundations of national translation studies and its contribution to understanding translation as a cultural and spiritual phenomenon. Particular attention is given to the relevance of J. Sharipov’s ideas for the current stage of development of Uzbek philological science
