This article examines how geopolitical discourse in mass media constructs ideological meanings and how these meanings are reshaped across linguistic and cultural contexts, with a particular focus on Uzbek–English comparative examples. The study argues that translation of geopolitical discourse is not merely a linguistic transfer but a form of ideological mediation, as translators inevitably reconstruct implicit assumptions, cultural codes, and political nuances embedded in the source text. Drawing on discourse analysis and comparative translation theory, the article highlights the need for careful attention to diplomatic tone, intertextual markers, and culturally bound metaphors to ensure that translated texts retain both conceptual coherence and ideological integrity.
