The article examines the issues related to comparing the epics Manas and Mahabharata within the discipline Manas Studies for foreign students of medical universities. The course Manas Studies was introduced as a mandatory subject at the International Higher School of Medicine in 2019. The discipline is taught in English to foreign students studying in the Kyrgyz Republic. Lectures and practical classes are conducted once a week in parallel. The main objective of the Manas Studies course in medical universities, including the International Higher School of Medicine, is to teach typological and comparative analysis of world epics, including the Mahabharata, to highlight their value and uniqueness in world artistic culture, and to help prepare future doctors as individuals worthy of their state.
