UCH TAZKIRA QIYOSI (Navoiy, Sahibey va Latifiy tazkiralari misolida)

Abstract

This article provides a comparative analysis of the tazkiras (biographical anthologies) compiled by Alisher Navoi, Sahibey, and Latifi, examining Majolis un-nafois, Hasht behisht, and Tazkirat ush-shuara as key sources representing three stages in the development of Turkic tazkira writing. The study comparatively analyzes the structure, classification principles, poet evaluation criteria, and linguistic-stylistic features of these works. The author demonstrates that the artistic-encyclopedic, historical-courtly, and critical-bibliographical functions of the tazkira genre evolved successively across the three texts. Furthermore, the article highlights, on a scholarly basis, how the Turkic tazkira tradition initiated by Navoi was reinterpreted within a new socio-cultural and intellectual context of the Ottoman milieu.
