This article analyzes the significance of traditional and modern approaches in teaching literary translation. It emphasizes that the process of literary translation requires not only linguistic knowledge but also intercultural competence, creativity, and aesthetic perception. The author highlights the strengths of traditional methods in strengthening grammatical foundations and the advantages of modern approaches in incorporating technology and interactive learning. Moreover, the study argues that an integrative approach-combining both traditional and modern methodologies-proves to be the most effective way to teach literary translation. As a result, students can develop as linguistically proficient, culturally aware, and creatively skilled translators capable of meeting contemporary professional demands
