Abstract

The article examines the phenomenon of Turkic borrowings in the Russian language as a reflection of the long and multifaceted cultural and historical interaction between the Turkic and Slavic peoples.Based on the analysis of various layers of borrowed vocabulary, beginning with the Proto-Slavic period and ending with the Tartarian era, a conclusion is made about the significant role of Turkisms in the formation of the semantic space of the Russian language.The importance of bilingualism is emphasized as a key factor determining the intensity and depth of language contacts
