Abstract

This article theoretically analyzes the role of the child image in the system of novel images. The child image was classified according to its role in the novel into such categories as expression of spiritual and moral ideals, poetic reflection of society, metaphorical perception and artistic coding, plot development and enhancement of drama, arousing empathy and aesthetic function, and a growing image.
