Abstract

This article analyzes the Uzbek translation of Turkish writer Orhan Pamuk’s “Istanbul: Memories and the City.” The author identifies and examines grammatical, lexical, and stylistic errors in the translation, demonstrating how they affect the artistic quality and readability of the text. The study also discusses structural differences between Turkish and Uzbek, the translation of idioms, names, and cultural nuances. It emphasizes the importance of artistic sensibility, linguistic accuracy, and cultural adaptation in literary translation
