This article describes the study, content, and significance of the “Devonu lug‘otit turk” dictionary as a lexicographic source. It analyzes the semantic properties of Turkish lexemes with social-relational meaning. Examples illustrate the semantic properties of terms, their formation, and the formation of new lexemes with meanings related to denotative concepts.
The use of terms in later periods, their connections to preceding and subsequent terms, and units of assimilation are examined. The relationship of lexemes with socio-relational meaning to the Old Turkic and modern Uzbek languages and the specifics of their use are analyzed.
The use of terms in multiple meanings is demonstrated, as well as the connection between their semantics and the people's way of life and culture. The external structure of the terms and their phonetic changes are analyzed. The features inherent in the rich social terminology of the ancient Uzbek language are revealed.
