“ZARQUM” QISSASINING FONETIK-LEKSIK XUSUSIYATLARI

Аннотация

The story "Zarkum" is an important work of ancient Uzbek literature, which
embodies religious-epic motifs, heroic and historical events. This article analyzes the phonetic
and lexical features of the story. The phonetic features of the language of the work, archaisms,
synonymous series, religious terms, figurative means, phraseological units, as well as the lexical
layers of the work (Turkish, Arabic and Persian) are studied. It is shown that the study of the
linguistic features of the epic is a valuable source in studying the lexicon of the Uzbek language
of the 19th century.
