The Uzbek people are creative, and they use language so effectively that the
expression of powerful speech not only manifests itself in literary works but also holds significant
importance in the rich and charming tradition of oral folk art. No creative piece is everlasting.
Over time, folk oral art and the language of the people continue to evolve, becoming richer and
more refined. Among the people, avoiding certain actions to protect oneself from various
calamities, as well as refraining from saying certain words to maintain protection, are practices
linked to myths and rituals. In this context, euphemisms and beliefs that reflect the psycho-sociocultural
structure of language are considered key literary features that enhance the aesthetic of
blessings and curses. This article analyzes blessings and curses, whose historical roots are
connected to taboos and beliefs, from the perspective of folklore studies.
