GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE JOKE TYPE IN THE TURKISH NARRATIVE TRADITION

When jokes are examined, it is possible to have an idea and obtain
information about many subjects such as the thoughts, customs, traditions, morals, socio-cultural
structures and even the history of the people. In this respect, we can say that jokes are a mirror of
society. In this study, the position of the joke in the Turkish narrative tradition, especially in
Turkish literature, is discussed.
