Аннотация

This article addresses the issue of teaching dialectology in Turkiye and the
teaching of Uzbek dialects to Turkish-speaking students. It provides information about the work
being carried out in the field of “dialectology” at higher education institutions in Turkiye, the
approach to dialect teaching, and the study of Turkish language dialects in Turkish linguistics.
The issue of teaching the Uzbek literary language and dialects to Turkish-speaking students is
analyzed with examples from the courses at the Department of Modern Turkic Languages and
Literatures at Istanbul University.
