Аннотация

This article analyzes ethnographic folklorisms found in the stories of Isajon
Sulton, one of the prominent representatives of modern Uzbek literature. The study scientifically
demonstrates that the writer widely uses folklorisms in his stories, particularly “literary
ethnographism” (the representation of customs, rituals, traditional beliefs, and folk traditions in
written literature), complex folklorisms, samples of folk songs, and symbolic images expressing
the dreams and aspirations of the people. Special attention is paid to the unique features of folkstyle
characters, elements related to ancient rituals, legends, myths, and folk tales in the writer’s
stories. The research also reveals the harmony between ethnographic folklorism and the writer’s
individual artistic style.
