This scientific article analyzes the linguistic and lexical features of folklore
texts from the perspective of linguofolkloristics. It substantiates that the language of folklore, in
contrast to everyday spoken language, possesses unique stable formulas, archaic lexemes,
dialectal elements, ethnographisms, and poetic patterns. The article provides theoretical
information about ethnolinguistics – an interdisciplinary field at the intersection of folkloristics
and linguistics. The scientific views and contributions of Russian scholars A. N. Veselovsky, V. Ya.
Propp, Yu. M. Lotman, V. N. Toporov, as well as Uzbek scholars Hodi Zarif, Mansur Afzalov,
Toʻra Mirzayev, Shavkat Rahmatullayev, M. Jumaniyozova, and D. Oʻrayeva in studying the
language of folklore are discussed in detail. The article is intended for researchers, master’s
students, and doctoral candidates in the field of philology
