This article provides a comparative analysis of key structural features
in Uzbek and German folk tales, focusing on introductions, conclusions, and the anonymity
of certain characters. The study shows that both traditions use formulaic openings that
prepare the audience for a magical or realistic narrative, as well as symbolic endings
emphasizing the victory of good over evil. The anonymity of characters serves to create
generalized, collective images. Uzbek tales are notable for their rich symbolism and
rhythmic imagery, whereas German tales often begin with concise, factual statements. The
article highlights shared aesthetic elements alongside distinct national features within both
folk traditions.
