This article comparatively examines the mythopoetic interpretation of the hair
motif in Uzbek and Turkish folk fairy tales. The study analyzes the semantic and symbolic meanings
of hair in connection with ancient animistic, totemistic, and demonological beliefs, as well as its
functional role in fairy-tale poetics. Special attention is given to motifs such as long-haired fairy
maidens, golden-haired heroes, magical feathers, manes, and hair strands, through which hair
appears as a symbol of beauty, sacredness, magical power, protection, and spiritual connection
