Аннотация

This article provides a comparative and textual analysis of the
mythopoetic layer and the system of characters across different variants of the epic
“Malika Ayyor”, which belongs to the “Gorgoli” epic cycle. The study explores the epic
nature of the mysterious character Shozargar, who actively participates in the plot,
alongside his characteristics of metamorphosis (transformation). Through a comparative
investigation with other related epics in the cycle and the mythology of the artisan-master
cult, the study scientifically demonstrates that the persona of Hasanxon—one of the
fundamental heroes of the “Gorgoli” cycle—lies directly beneath this character as his
artistic transfiguration. Furthermore, the article uncovers the evolution, transformation,
and laws of epic syncretism regarding this character's functions within the variants
performed by Fozil Yuldosh ogli, Melash bakhshi, Yorlaqab bakhshi, and Togay shoir.
