Аннотация

This article examines the recording of the heroic epic “Alpomish” from the
repertoire of storytellers belonging to the Nurota epic tradition. The study analyzes the
performance traditions of the Nurota epic school, the specific features of epic narration, and the
regional variants of the epic. Special attention is paid to the role of Nurota bakhshis in preserving
and transmitting the epic heritage from generation to generation. The article also highlights the
process of recording the epic by folklorists and its importance for the scientific study of Uzbek
folklore. The place of the epic “Alpomish” in the repertoire of Nurota storytellers and the
scholarly value of the recorded variants are discussed.
