This article analyzes the historical-linguistic features of Uzbek dialects
formed in the territory of Tajikistan, the factors behind their formation, and the processes of their
scientific study. It examines the phonetic, grammatical, and lexical layers of Tajikistani Uzbek
dialects, paying special attention to the phenomena that have emerged as a result of bilingualism
and language contacts. The article also describes the classification and linguistic characteristics
of Tajikistani Uzbek dialects based on the scientific views of scholars such as Yevgeny Dmitrievich
Polivanov, Ivan Ivanovich Zarubin, Konstantin Konstantinovich Yudakhin, Tuli Yuldashev, and
Erali Sheraliev.
