This article is devoted to a comparative-typological study of the formation patterns of complex word combinations in the Uzbek and English languages. The relevance of the research is determined by the necessity of analyzing the hierarchical structure of multi-component syntactic units in languages with different linguistic typologies, specifically analytical (English) and agglutinative (Uzbek). The paper provides a comprehensive overview of the structural-semantic characteristics of chain-like constructions, the specific manifestation of head-dependent relationships within them, and the linguistic transformations that occur during this process. Utilizing transformational analysis and comparative methods, the research examines the challenges of maintaining semantic and formal equivalence when translating multi-component English phrases into Uzbek. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the development of hierarchical models for complex word combinations and the identification of effective methods for their natural expression in the target language. The findings of this study contribute significantly to the enrichment of translation theory and serve as a practical guide for translation students in developing professional skills for analyzing complex syntactic structures and achieving translational adequacy
