Аннотация

Akbar Shah, one of the most influential rulers of the Mughal Empire in the second half of the 16th century, is distinguished in Indian history not only for his political and administrative reforms but also for his unique religious and political ideas. The concept he proposed, known to history as "Din-i Ilahi" (Divine Faith), aimed to harmonize various religious traditions and foster ideological unity within the empire's multi-confessional society. This article analyzes the conditions under which Akbar Shah's religious policy was formed, the essence of Din-i Ilahi, the role of religious figures and court scholars in the preparation of this idea, as well as the staunchly oppositional stance of clerics such as Imam Rabbani. Additionally, the fate of Din-i Ilahi after Akbar Shah and its impact on Indian Muslim thought are explored.
