The article examines the problem of professional training of primary school teachers for the development of economic literacy among younger students in the context of the historical and cultural heritage of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. The study analyzes the socio-economic realities of Babur’s era reflected in the work Baburnama as a source for forming ideas about economic thinking and rational use of resources. The pedagogical potential of historical materials for integration into the modern educational process is substantiated. The importance of an interdisciplinary approach in the professional training of primary school teachers is highlighted
