Abstract

The article highlights the lexicographic activity of the enlightened Jadid writer Elbek using the example of an analysis of his work "Materials for the Complete Uzbek Vocabulary". On this basis, the writer's contribution to the development of lexicography at the beginning of the 20th century is assessed.
