Abstract

One of the main strategic goals facing the Republic of Uzbekistan, which regained its independence in 1991, was to form the ideological, political and cultural foundations of national statehood. One of the most important reforms implemented in this direction was the restructuring of language policy and measures aimed at ensuring the use of the national language in state administration, education, as well as in all spheres of public life. Language policy was of strategic importance not only as a means of communication, but also in terms of preserving national identity, historical memory and social solidarity.
