The article examines the role of historical phraseology in reflecting the worldview of the people, customs, traditions, peculiarities of thinking, as well as the worldview of the author.The examples show that “Kutadgu Bilig” occupies a special place among classical literary texts, that each verse is rich in wisdom, that it was called “pandnoma” and was famous in its time.The semantic and stylistic features of historical phraseology are revealed through the analysis of somatic phraseology in the text “Kutadgu bilig”. The connection between somatic phraseological units in the text of the work and the modern Uzbek literary language is determined. Phraseologisms are divided into groups and analyzed: those used in the modern Uzbek language with phonetic differences, those differing in one component in the modern Uzbek literary language and those not used in the modern Uzbek language. The analysis is based on the fact that phraseological units in the text of the pandnoma have moral, educational, spiritual and enlightening significance
