Abstract

This article summarizes theoretical views on metonymy and cognitive interpretation and reveals the interpretation of the concept of conceptual metonymy. Based on the sources of scientific research on the study of metonymy in cognitive linguistics, its conceptual models have been studied. The theories of world scientists in the development of metonymic models were selected, and based on them, brief generalizations were made.
