Abstract

Anthroponyms recorded in Greek sources provide consistent facts in shedding light on the complex issues of our history, language, and national-spiritual values. Personal names of Turkish origin, reflected in Greek sources, have preserved their national nationality from ancient times to the present day. All of the onomastic units processed in ancient Greek sources have been transcribed in accordance with the language. Most of the names skit, sak, kimmer, mada, alban, hun which are derived from Greek origins, are of Turkish origin, and these ethnos played an important role in the formation of the ethnogenesis of our people. In the research of the etymology and creation history of anthroponyms recorded in Greek sources, such as "Orxon-Yenisey", "Kitabi-Dədə Qorqud", "Divanü lüğət-it-türk", "Qutadqu bilig" are used in ancient Turkish monuments which are the most reliable source. It is clear from the comparative analysis that the anthroponyms used in these monuments have a more ancient history
