The folklore-related features of the cuisines of the Uzbek and Nakhchivan regions are investigated. It is shown that in both regions, foods such as pilaf and bread are not only a symbol of food, but also of unity, abundance, and holiness. Food-related beliefs, practices, and customs reflect the common cultural values of Turkic peoples. The study reveals the similarities and differences between these cultures and emphasizes their role in national identity.
