This article analyzes the image of Ahmad Sardor, one of the significant
characters in the Goʻroʻgʻli epic cycle. The research explores how Ahmad Sardor is interpreted
in different variants and versions of the epic, as well as the development of his relationship with
Goʻroʻgʻli, particularly within the framework of “uncle–nephew” and “father–son” relationships.
The article highlights Ahmad Sardor’s qualities as a kind, generous, responsible, and wise person
through the events of the epic. In addition, his character is examined more deeply through episodes
related to Ravshanbek, Urayxon, and Rayhon Arab. The study reveals that in the earliest variants
of the epic, Ahmad Sardor was mainly portrayed as an educator, patron, and fatherly figure, while
in later versions his image underwent certain changes. This character occupies an important place
in the artistic system of the Goʻroʻgʻli epic and is evaluated as one of the leading figures reflecting
epic traditions and social values.
