Abstract

This article examines the artistic function of ethno-folkloric elements based
on the fourth volume of lyrics by the People’s Poet of Uzbekistan, Halima Khudoyberdieva. The
phenomenon of «materialization of feelings,» characteristic of the poet’s work, is analyzed in the
context of national material details (cradle, incense, amulets) and ritual actions. The research
reveals how the poet synthesizes the folk worldview into the text of modern poetry and through this
illuminates the issue of national identity
