Abstract

This text analyzes the formation of the lexical layer of karluk
dialects in the Samarkand region based on socio-historical and linguistic factors.
The study scientifically proves that the vocabulary of regional dialects is a dynamic
phenomenon, and the emergence of borrowed layers is a product of long-standing
Uzbek-Tajik bilingualism. Furthermore, the adaptation characteristics of loanwords
from Persian-Tajik, Arabic, and Russian languages into dialectal speech are
discussed, alongside the fundamental perspectives of scholars such as
Mahmudkhoja Behbudi and Karim Shoniyozov
