Shonazar Shoabdurahmonov was a prominent scholar who made significant
contributions to the study of the language of folklore works. This article analyzes his scholarly
research devoted to the language of the epic Ravshan, which occupies an important place in the
development of Uzbek linguistics. Particular attention is paid to the scholar’s contribution to the
investigation of the phonetic and lexical features of the epic. The study examines artistic phonetic
elements, sound repetitions, rhyme patterns, and expressive devices used in Ravshan, illustrating
them with relevant examples. In addition, the article highlights Ergash Jumanbulbul oʻgʻli’s
mastery in employing the rich resources of the folk language and reveals the factors that contribute
to the artistic expressiveness and aesthetic impact of the epic
