Abstract

This article explores the global recognition of Alisher Navoi as a renowned poet, philosopher, and statesman, and addresses the enduring significance of studying his life and literary legacy. The article focuses on the inclusion of Navoi's personality and works in educational curricula, specifically in schools where instruction is provided in languages other than Uzbek, with a particular emphasis on Russian-language secondary school textbooks. It examines the content related to Alisher Navoi in these textbooks, assessing the treatment of his works in terms of genre, thematic scope, and their effectiveness in enhancing students' understanding of the poet’s contributions. Additionally, the article offers recommendations for improving the teaching of Alisher Navoi’s life and oeuvre to foster a deeper appreciation and comprehension of his literary and philosophical impact
