The concept of plurality is a multifaceted category expressed in languages not only through morphological suffixes but also through words and word groups. In Bashkir Turkish, as in Turkic languages, plurality refers not only to numerical excess but also to an ambiguous and conceptual multiplicity whose boundaries cannot be precisely defined. A review of the literature reveals that studies on plurality largely focus on plural suffixes; conversely, research addressing the semantic functions of words expressing plurality and togetherness remains limited. This study aims to identify words expressing plurality and togetherness in Bashkir Turkish, which belongs to the Northwest (Kipchak) group of Turkic dialects, and to examine their semantic characteristics.
