Abstract

This article analyzes the means and methods of expressing the category of affirmation-negation in Turkic languages. The research primarily focuses on the morphological and functional-semantic features of negation, while considering affirmative forms in opposition to this category. The article presents a comparative analysis of research findings based on materials from Tatar, Bashkir, Turkmen, Kazakh, and Kyrgyz languages, identifying their common and distinctive features. The study employs comparative-typological and functional-semantic approaches and evaluates the level of interpretation of the negation category in existing research
