Abstract

This article analyzes the use of chiasmus in Uzbek and French proverbs and sayings. The stylistic, semantic, and linguocultural features of chiasmus are examined, and its role in reflecting the mindset and cultural values of the people is highlighted. The article is written based on a theoretical approach and comparative analysis. In Uzbek and French proverbs and sayings, chiasmus (chiasmus) is often used to harmonize opposing ideas and to emphasize a thought.
