Abstract

This article provides a detailed examination of the role of translation in comparative studies, focusing on its functions within interliterary, intercultural, and poetic processes, as well as the nature of semantic and aesthetic transformations. The study aims to analyze the intersection between translation studies and comparative literature, to determine the theoretical status of translation, and to substantiate the factors that have turned translation into a key object of comparative methodology.
