Abstract

The article examines mechanisms for preserving traditional cultures and social integration in a multi-ethnic society using the Republic of Bashkortostan as a case study. By analyzing four educational cases—summer camps "Yaylau," "SaleT-Tulpar," "Ustochikar," and "Hilton" — the study reveals the role of ethnocultural practices, language immersion, and folk crafts in shaping a multicultural identity among adolescents. The camps demonstrate three integration strategies: ethno-linguistic immersion (recreating traditional lifestyles), communicative intensification (modeling a foreign language environment), and creative acculturation (cultural mastery through art). The research highlights that combining regulatory measures, educational programs, and informal interactions strengthens interethnic dialogue, reduces language barriers, and enhances social stability. However, long-term project success requires systemic support, including specialized educational courses, expanded funding for interregional initiatives, and monitoring participants' language proficiency. The findings confirm that cultural heritage is a key resource for social integration, with Bashkortostan’s models adaptable to other multi-ethnic regions.
