This study examines the concept of unity and its relationship with collective consciousness through proverbs, which are one of the main elements of oral expression in the folk cultures of Kazakh and Uzbek communities. Proverbs are important carriers of folkloric memory, reflecting not only individual experiences but also the common values and beliefs of communities. In the comparative analyses of Kazakh and Uzbek proverbs, it is determined that the concept of unity, integrated with various values, performs an important function in keeping the society together and making it permanent. The study shows how the concept of unity is embedded in the collective memory through proverbs not only as a moral value but also as a form of consciousness that protects, strengthens and adds continuity to the social order. In this context, the study emphasises the unifying power of proverbs and draws attention to the continuity of common cultural values in the Turkic world.
