Abstract

This article explores one of the common features of Korean and Uzbek cultures-the concept of filial piety (“효”, hyo)-from a linguocultural perspective. The study examines the sense of filial duty, attitudes toward parents, and young people’s perceptions of this concept, as well as the philosophical and artistic reflections of filial devotion in Eastern culture. The article also analyzes the similarities and differences between the Korean and Uzbek interpretations of filial piety, the notion of “worthiness,” and the modern generation’s attitudes toward these traditional values
