Abstract

In this thesis, phraseological units and their significance in literary translation are explored. The phraseological units found in O‘tkir Hoshimov’s work “Dunyoning ishlari” (“Such is life”) are analyzed, focusing on the challenges that arise in translating them from the original into English and the translation issues of phraseological units found in both the original and translated texts are discussed. In the English translation of the work, alternative equivalents of some phraseological units are provided.
