Abstract

This article examines the main linguistic, cultural, and legal difficulties that arise in translating forensic terminology between English and Uzbek. The study analyzes more than fifty key terms from authentic legal and forensic linguistic sources, comparing their semantic, structural, and functional equivalents in both languages. The research reveals that most forensic terms lack direct Uzbek counterparts due to differences in legal systems, conceptual frameworks, and linguistic typology.
