Abstract

The article analyzes the narratological features of the science fiction genre in English and Uzbek literature. Based on “The Last Question” by Isaac Asimov and “Galaktikada bir kun” by Sadullo Quronov, it examines the artistic interpretation of time and space, the modes of narration, and the aesthetic transformation of scientific concepts. The study employs the theoretical frameworks of G. Genette, M. Bal, and D. Suvin. Findings indicate that science fiction in English literature develops through philosophical and cognitive approaches, while in Uzbek literature it evolves through psychological and spiritual exploration. The paper provides a methodological basis for the narratological study of science fiction in contemporary Uzbek literary scholarship.
