IDENTIFYING THE SEMANTIC COMPONENT OF AFFECTIONATE FORM

Аннотация

This article examines the identification of archisemes, integral semes, and distinguishing semes in English and Uzbek lexical units expressing affection through the method of component analysis. It compares explicit and implicit definitional strategies and analyzes affection-related semes derived from contextual meanings. The findings demonstrate the complex semantic structure of FSFA and highlight the need to rely not only on dictionaries but also on broader linguistic data.
