ALİ ŞİR NEVÂYÎ VE ÜSLUBUNDA FİİLLERİN YERİ THE PLACE OF VERBS IN ALI SHIR NEVÂYÎ AND HIS STYLE

Abstract

In this study, based on Ali Shir Navoi’s Fevâyidü’l-Kiber divan, attention is given to the use and characteristics of verbs, verbal nouns, and verbal clauses within the rich stylistic diversity of his poetry. The analysis reveals that, despite the restrictive nature of the aruz meter in terms of lexical choice, Nevâyî demonstrates an extensive vocabulary and skillfully employs both simple and compound verb forms, incorporating Turkish, Arabic, and Persian synonyms and antonyms. His meticulous attention to verbs serves as evidence of his perception of the world as a realm in perpetual motion.
